We had been reading the creation account in Genesis and both of my daughters asked the same question within two days of each other and without knowing the other one had asked. I was amazed. And stumped!
Did Adam and Eve go to heaven? First of all, Adam and Eve sinned, which separated from God. Second, in John 14:6 Jesus says,
“I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
If the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ, then I was wondering the same thing. Did Adam and Eve go to heaven?
After asking my husband Doug, he went to Google and found Biblical answers on this website: creationtips.com Here is what we found:
The Bible doesn’t specifically tell us whether Adam and Eve will be in Heaven, but we can infer that they will. This is why:
God did not abandon them.
They knew Christ would come. (Genesis 3:15)
We don’t go to Hell for our sins…otherwise we would all go to Hell.
Adam is used as a positive example. Adam is set as the head of Christ’s genealogy (Luke 3: 38).
Christ is called the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45)
