God Is…

God is with us.

Romans 6:23 (NIV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God is eternal.

2 Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

God is holy.

And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

God is unchangeable.

Psalm 102:25-(NIV)

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
27 But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.

God is wise.

27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

God is good.

68 You are good, and what you do is good;

God is powerful.

God is love.

God is God period.

Bruce Ware states clearly in his book, “Big Truths for Young Hearts” who God is.

Knowing the richness of God, then, leads us to honor him, worship him, trust him, and humble ourselves before him.  God alone is God, and God’s richness is without measure and without end.
